Camellia Rally: Tradition and Innovation
On February 20th and 21st, the 2026 Camellia Rally will feature a revamped route. Torres Vedras has now been added to the municipalities of Sintra, Cascais, and Mafra.
At the press conference, Andreia Bernardo, Vice-President of the Sintra Municipal Council and responsible for Sports, highlighted that "this event is already considered a Sintra icon, an event that combines motorsport tradition and a strong connection with the municipality." "It is with enormous pride that we welcome another edition of the Rallye das Camélias," she emphasized.
The program begins on February 20th, with administrative and technical checks taking place at the bilstein group facilities. The official start will be at the Estoril Casino Gardens at 6:00 PM.
The first qualifying stage follows the same route as the 2025 edition, now Sintra-Cascais, with two runs and a regrouping at the Terreiro do Palácio Nacional de Sintra.
The big news for the event is the debut of the Almargem do Bispo special stage, a stretch of about 7.5 km that runs through the villages of the Sintra parish and promises a special atmosphere.
On February 21st, the competition resumes in Mafra, with assistance in the park, passing through Casal Barbas and a new qualifying stage. This is followed by a regrouping at the National Palace of Mafra. After another assistance session, the competitors head to Torres Vedras, passing through Quinta da Abelheira. The awards ceremony will again take place in Mafra.
The 2026 edition marks the return of the iconic Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2, which will compete in the new Revival category, dedicated to classic cars up to 1985. The car, a replica of the model that participated in the 1986 Rally of Portugal, will be driven by Spaniard Alberto Fraga.
With new stages, a more territorially comprehensive route, an enhanced historical program, and a clear ambition for growth, the bilstein group Rallye das Camélias 2026 is preparing to reaffirm its status as a benchmark event, combining tradition, spectacle, and the promotion of the Sintra region.
